We met while working together at The Keg Steakhouse in Milwaukie, Oregon. Both of us have a long history in the food service industry, and working in a pizza place was the first job we both had, Julie at the Oregon Coast and Chris in Nevada.
Chris moved to Oregon to attend culinary school, working at pizza places all along. After graduating, he went on to The Keg as kitchen manager and chef. After The Keg closing in 2004, he worked for Pacific Coast Restaurants, leading kitchens and staff in high volume restaurants. His next move was to Food Services of America, operating a sales territory. He then moved into Business Solutions, with FSA, as a restaurant consultant, which covered helping owners/operators with all facets of running their restaurant, helping them to be more successful.
Julie worked in different restaurants, moving from Oregon to Hawaii, to Arizona,and settling back in Oregon. She worked as a server and bartender, enjoying the daily contact with people. She went to beauty school, graduating in 2007, and has been working as a hairstylist since, but still working in restaurants here and there.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Chris was furloughed for months, ultimately ending in us deciding to do what we love, together! We consulted our 12 year old daughter, Sophie, and we as a family are excited to embark on this new adventure together. Our goal is to bring delicious, good food to our community.
